Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

Evaluation of Performance

The performance of orthopaedic residents is monitored closely by faculty. Residents in the Post MD 4th and 5th level are encouraged to provide support for Post MD 2nd and 3rd year residents.

Evaluations are solicited from faculty after each resident rotation. Residents are also reviewed semi-annually by faculty mentors assigned at the beginning of clinical study.

Problems that arise are addressed early and in a concerned fashion. Residents in turn have an opportunity to address their resident training at these semi-annual evaluations.
