Non-Paid Research Opportunities

Research opportunities are non-paid positions in which medical students can participate in clinical and/or research projects. The required participation minimum is 6 months.

The UC San Diego Department of Orthopaedic Surgery welcomes medical student participation with its research efforts. We have led many independent study projects in the past. Feel free to check out the Research Faculty page for faculty members who are currently conducting clinical and/or research projects and initiate contact with any of the faculty, or complete the Medical Student Research Application (Google form) to facilitate a discussion, if you are interested in talking with a particular faculty member.
